- 2006 Paso Fino Grand National Championship
Show, September 17 - 23rd 2006, Perry Georgia, USA
- Monday- Gladiador de Los Dos - the
current (2005) World Champion Fino Colt received Honorable
Mention after an exceptional class. He was ridden by Monchy
Figueroa
- Tuesday- La Candela de La Sierra- the
2005 3 yr National Champion Fino Filly, 2005 World
Champion Fino Filly and now the 2006 National Champion 4
year old filly. Candela worked a flawless class, her
style and talent placed her at the top of her class. Ridden by
Monchy Figueroa.
- Wednesday - Vaquero de La Tierra, won
3rd place in a tough Performance Stallion Class. Vaquero
is a multi national champion that has a style and elegance that
is timeless.

Thursday- Heredero de Jonseb the
2005 National Champion Fino Stallion won Reserve in
the Fino Stallions class.
- Friday- Marqueza de Norte a daughter
of Capitan was shown by Lauren Henny. Even though they
received no placement the mare Marqueza was highly
recognized for her quickness and classic fino type.
- Saturday night - Heredero de Jonseb
wins, unanimously, the 2006 Grand Championship Fino Stallion
title. In total the show had 120 colts and stallions entered
with Heredero winning unanimously by the judges.
Heredero's presence and remarkable quickness set him in a
class of his own. He was ridden by Monchy Figueroa.
- The Oak Island Farm crew attended a show in
Shelbyville, Tennessee in May sponsored by the Tennessee Region, and did
very well, winning a majority of our classes and championships. A few
highlights of the show:
- Gladiador de Los Dos, the 4 year old paso fino
colt by Atila, winning the class and championship.
- Marqueza del Norte is proving that she is the
talented paso fino mare of the future.
